While working for a trucking company from 2005 through August 2008 I allowed them to use my credit cards for fuel, repairs, etc. They had always paid the balances in full at the end of the month until fuel prices escalated in late 2007 and 2008 when they were unable to pay the balances. They were however making the minimum payments on the accounts until August 2008 when the company president called and informed me that the company was filing for bankruptcy protection that day. I was overwhelmed with a huge debt, that although technically was not mine, was in my name. I was also without a job which made it difficult to even make the minimum payments much less my regular expenses.
In doing extensive research including credit counseling, bankruptcy and debt reduction I felt that the credit card companies should get at least some of their money so I opted for debt reduction. I further researched debt reduction companies and after speaking with a few settled on Clear Debt Solution. Megan was my initial contact and the person who I spoke with about the situation surrounding my debt and the credit cards involved. She was great with helping me gather the information and filling out the initial paperwork.
I was then assigned to Vanity, my credit coach. Vanity has been a Godsend, she is very encouraging and knowledgeable about the tactics creditors use to overwhelm their customers. She has been very good about keeping in touch and encouraging me to call her if I have an issue with a specific creditor.
My settlement negotiator, Sarah has been great in negotiating settlements so far. I have been in the program six months and although the monthly payment seemed steep initially it has been doable and my first account has been settled and closed. I can’t put into words the relief I felt at having one debt cleared.

My husband and I began to face our financial catastrophe around two years ago when the medical bills began to mount. A bright New Day, which is what Clear Debt Solution, has given me. Finally, after years and years of being at that mercy of the Big Credit Card companies, making minimum payments and paying up to 30% interest, I have found a way out of the trap. After going through the death of my youngest son at 22 years of age I was in debt but still ok. Then my elderly mom fell broke her hip and had a stroke. I am $54,000+ in debt on 3 credit cards and 1 money loan line of credit. I kept paying at least the minimum payment each month-I mostly paid more than the required amount each month.
